The town of Bocas Del Toro…

After landing in Bocas, we took a cab about five minutes to our *hotel*. The *hotel* was more like a rebuilding project of an apartment. But, it was very comfortable and had a great view. Here is the view from my room of downtown,

Bocas is a bustling little town with bars, restaurants, touristy shops, a few dive shops…and reminds me all of the days when Pirates roamed these Caribbean islands. bocas centro

restaurants here, are all out over the water on pontoons and supports. So while you are sitting there enjoying your time, you can look over and see fish, feel the water lapping up against the boards under your feet.

honestly, I dont know why the pictures come out looking hazy and cloudy? Must be the humidity, but it was a nice bright day.

The people are friendly, the food is fantastic (except dont get the calimari dishes…I swear its made from rubber bands), and the views of the other islands are amazing…Ill show you more tomorrow…
