Bobby Rica in the Philippines (Part Two)

By BobbyRica | November 3, 2010

Hours later, clarity had soon broken into exhaustion. And as our car plied through the busy street of Ayala Avenue, the ride was mostly a blur. We were herded into our hotel rooms and I soon faced the welcome embrace of oblivion before my body touched the mattress.

Time passed and I was woken up by a loud thumping. Still feeling a bit disoriented from the jet lag, my travel companion, Akasha, dragged me outside to start our exploration of downtown Manila. Good thing, our hotel was smack in the middle of it. We have stumbled onto the shopping complex where all the usual gentrified shit is displayed. You’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.

Our stomachs started growling. I checked my watch and realized I was out for nearly twelve hours! I was just about to amble my way to the nearest McD’s when I saw an amazing sight. A vision of loveliness had appeared in front of me. Deepak stood still and was staring at the vision before us. A few yards ahead was a beautiful young girl. From the looks of it, she was in her early twenties. She had waist length hair, a model thin frame, sparkling large brown eyes, and a warm smile that took my breath away! I can imagine her to be a model in Gauguin’s painting. Even though she wore plain clothes, I swore she looked like a tropical goddess. She must have flown down from the heavens to welcome us.

The cute girl approached us, smiling. She was carrying a big rattan basket. By the way she was carrying it, it looked heavy. The basket was covered with a thick layer of cloth. Small curls of steam floated out as I swiftly surveyed her perfectly bronzed arm.

“Good morning, sirs,” her sparkling brown eyes looking bigger and more alluring,” would you gentlemen like to taste a Filipino delicacy?” I swallowed as a venal thought jumped into my brain, and made me blush. (Imagine BobbyRica blushing!)

Stay tuned…
