Scenic Surfing Spots In Baler

I will be posting a series of photos while traveling around the coastline of Luzon in the Philippines. It was six thirty in the morning and while my friend Akasha was driving ourselves in a jeep to our mystery destination, I was looking out and never realized how wonderful it is to be in the Tropics. The sunsets are different in these parts, and making an overnight drive in God knows where worth the trouble.

Baler, Aurora is on the eastern side of the largest island of the archipelago. To most surfers, they call it their home in the North, if not as one I interviewed calls it her Disneyland of surf breaks. This place has “spots that would drive any surfer wild”! You can go to the middle of the ocean and surf! The strong waves will make you drop heights! The strong waves will surely make a much better surfer out of you.

It is good to hear that locals are very accommodating. And once you’re in Baler, friends tell me that I will be safe!
