The Marimba: The Sound of Costa Rica

There’s something about hearing the marimba playing while you’re in Costa Rica that puts you in a great mood. It somehow gives you immediate warm happy party thoughts. Marimbas may be a commonplace percussion instrument in the Caribbean and South American countries. But Costa Rica seemingly has the edge in taking off your own inhibitions and leading you to you that sense spontaneity within yourself that you thought you’d lost when you were younger. It’s like an invitation to get you drunk with life.

The Beach Party Trail (Part One)

Costa Rica during Lenten Season is beach season. It is a time when most of the city is deserted and most people are going out of town. The resort hotels are booked solid for a week and the only available accommodation you can ever go to are the nearby residents who sublet their guest rooms.

Say It The Tico Way 8

Costa Rica is a place of beautiful ticas and if you’re a hot-booded guy like I do, I can’t help but look at a beautiful woman’s FONDILLO (fon-dee-yoh). Just don’t let your date catch you checking another tica out.

The Scenic View

One of the best reasons to go to Costa Rica? You wake up to a great view of Lake Arenal at six in the morning. You guys have a great weekend!
