One of the beautiful beaches in Costa Rica is Play Avellanas. It is on the south of Tamarindo in Guanacaste. Avellandas doesn’t have a village and yet there are some hotels and cabinas. I recommend that you walk around the area first before you decide which establishment to lay your hat.

I love surfing. I recently took up the hobby, having a blast conquering the waves in Malibu. You may have known by now that Costa Rica is a mecca for surfers, both beginner and advanced. Despite its size, Costa Rica manages to be one of the top surf spots in the Western Hemisphere. If you happen to visit the following sites, you are assured of good quality surf the year round. Just don’t go on peak seasons. Expect lines forming on Christmas and Easter where hordes of people arrive.
