How I celebrate Christmas.

Soon, Stefani was the one cheering me up with thoughts of meeting Eva and their family again. Eva had had a few flings, but she never forgot about me, Stefani beamed.

That awkward glance I shot at her was replied to with a quick peck at my cheek and boisterous laughter. Yes, Stefani says, I missed you too, and I’m grateful now, and I also didn’t wait for you and I’m going steady with someone now. You loco Tico, she snorted.

Talk eventually fell to the upcoming Christmas celebration. The holiday *tamales*, the amazing floats of the *Festival De La Luz*, and, a change of pace, a real live *bullfight*.

*Toros a la Tica* is a reckless, dangerous, practically insane activity, that only *San Jose*’s wildest residents would participate in. Of course, Stefani could not wait to show me the ropes, but first, I was about to meet an old flame again.
