How I spend New Year’s in Costa Rica.

By BobbyRica | December 31, 2012

It’s the holidays and I find myself with a beautiful tican friend. She accompanied me around the beautiful and restored Parque Morazan for a pleasant New Year Eve’s walk. We made our way past the sculptures and concrete structures towards the circular domed Templo De La Musica.

This year, they had organized an all day concert series in Templo De La Musica, and we stayed a few hours to just revel in the goodness of the National Symphonic Orchestra. As the day wound down, we passed by the other nearby Gran Hotel landmarks, like the National Theater and the Jade Museum, but did not linger as we could not wait to catch the teeming and delicious Gran Hotel Costa Rica buffet.

As we got closer and closer, my tican friend had started to get silly with me and giggled as she started skipping ahead of me. All I could do was grin at her as I still moved with some pain, but in my heart I was happy. She eventually came back for me with that sweet enchanting smile on her face.
