The one about eating grapes for the New Year.

There’s a lot of traditions observed by native ticans during New Year’s Eve. Another practice is the consumption of twelve grapes at midnight. Each grape supposedly is dedicated to one month of the Old Year. The person then makes a wish for every grape. According to a friend, this is a symbolic way of saying one’s goodbyes to the past.
