Matapalo in Osa Penninsula in one of the most beautiful untouched beaches of Costa Rica. As the scenery is incredible here, the surfing ain’t bad either. The best time to visit and surf at Matapalo is from spring (April) to early fall (October). Matapalo is where you will find two point breaks where you can surf on waves that rise up to 200 meters! This happens when it fires on a south swell. The surf here is considered world class.

One of the beautiful beaches in Costa Rica is Play Avellanas. It is on the south of Tamarindo in Guanacaste. Avellandas doesn’t have a village and yet there are some hotels and cabinas. I recommend that you walk around the area first before you decide which establishment to lay your hat.
