I was soaking in a natural beachside pool in Puerto Viejo. The noontime sun was blazing as six naked girls (well, one was technically in her undies) giggled and chatted in the tub. I felt a warm sensation all over my body. There was something on the pool that was making me mellow. And it wasn’t just all the nakedness around me. The water in the pool wasn’t really water. It was warm coconut oil that made things shiny and slippery. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. The lingering pain in my arm confirmed everything. I was almost ready to weep.
